Best of 2009 – Food

This one is easy: Babunia, a fish restaurant in Tel Aviv. Small, with a clear and simple design, the place reminded me of the little eateries you’ll find in Brittany, France. There’s no menu, but a choice of 5-6 kinds of fish, changing daily according to availability. The minute you sit down, you are served fantastic Mezze (little salads and dips like Tabouleh, Hummus etc.) with freshly baked pita bread – delicious. The fish was outstanding, too, the service impeccable, and our son had lots of fun as well. Even the whine was good!

Hhhm, I’m hungry now…
